032-Brooch Oxwich Shape

The brooch is cast in brass and finished entirely by hand. The needle as well, has been hardened brass hammer. Everything was gilded with 24 carat gold. The external dimensions are 4 cm in diameter, while the inner diameter is 2.2 cm. Period XIII-XIV century.
The brooch is decorated with stones actually molten glass, in imitation of emeralds and rubies.
It 'was designed in the style of a brooch which is in the National Museum of Wales and dated 1250-1320-40. Many of these brooches were in use in Europe with the forms and combinations of stones and pearls.
